For Central & Mane, a luxury haircare salon in Seattle’s Central District, the goal was to create a brand that would establish a new standard in the city’s beauty scene. The vision was to position the salon as more than a place for hair services—an elevated destination where precision and artistry meet self-expression—while balancing sophistication with playfulness and approachability. Developed a lion-inspired logo as a nod to the name and the idea of hair as a mane, symbolizing strength, movement, and confidence. Crafted custom typography, including a distinctive ampersand inspired by the intersecting streets of Seattle’s Central District, to add a modern and personal touch. Drew from editorial design cues with a sense of fluidity and spontaneity to create a bold yet refined visual identity that feels luxurious without being untouchable, ultimately positioning Central & Mane as a space where self-expression and high-end haircare exist in harmony.
